Inspired by one of the most recognizable art works, the Great Wave Tote is a hand-painted original. Created using black leather dye onto natural Buttero, an Italian full-grain leather.
This gorgeous masterpiece has been sewn by hand with dark grey waxed thread and saddle-stitching technique for the bag body. The inside fabric lining has been sewn on a treadle sewing machine in heavy nylon thread.
Hand-stitched rolled handles are dyed black with lovely ribbon-like ends. The interior features a single large pocket for your phone. A strong magnet clasp keeps the two sides together.
The Great Wave Tote is finely crafted from a single piece of natural vegetable-tanned leather. A water-resistant sealant has been applied to protect the smooth surface.
This beautiful tote is sized at 16” wide at the top, by 13” wide at the bottom, by 4” deep and 10” high. The handle drop length is 6.5” for snug shoulder wearing or hand-held use.
Natural Buttero vegetable-tanned leather will patina with use and exposure to the sun.
