Welcome to my Atelier.

Hello! I’m Jacqueline, a leathercraft artist-designer living in Seattle, Washington, creating out of my home studio. I started working with leather and canvas in 2020 after being gifted a treadle sewing machine, then later learning it had the ability to sew through leather. I bought a few rolls of leather and began my quest to master a new craft.

I have always had a creative spark—first as a photographer since I was a teen, then dabbling in quilting. But something clicked when I discovered leather.

I love the entire process of pattern making, reverse engineering and hand-crafting each piece. The fine art of leathercraft is in the details. All of my pieces are unique, hand-stitched originals made to last a lifetime.

About the artist.

Jacqueline Ossenfort studied art and photography at the University of South Florida in Tampa, before moving to the Pacific Northwest.

Jacqueline’s work is ever evolving with new designs and techniques. Her brush-painted, abstract designs are striking masterpieces of wearable art.

Jacqueline has been participating in juried art and fine craft events in several states since 2022, most notably the Smithsonian Craft Show in April 2025.

Why use vegetable-tanned leather?

Simply, it’s the best choice.

Learn More about Vegetable-tanned leather

Atelier Jacqueline Ossenfort uses only full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather sourced directly from tanneries in the Tuscan region of Italy, and members of the Consortium of Vegetable-tanned leather artisans.

These real leather hides have been ethically produced with the highest environmental standards, using non-metal, natural tannins and centuries old tradition.

Simply put, it’s the BEST leather that will outlast and outshine any man-made material, only getting better with age.

“A good design will also show off the amazing leather it’s made from, while also giving the user the joy of watching a beautiful patina develop as it ages.”
